The cottage was equipped with everything you could ever need. Emma was the perfect host and kept in touch to see if everything was okay. So glad we found this delightful cottage!”

“We had a tremendous time looking out onto the mountains from the veranda. The surrounding nature reserves are beautiful and a short drive away! The cottage is well thought out and has lovely design touches. Make sure you stay a few days to properly enjoy all the cottage and surrounds have on offer. The outdoor area was a highlight, featuring a charming apple tree, a kayak-ready dam, and relaxing hammocks both by the water and on the porch. The road from Rosetta, despite its potholes, leads to this serene escape. Inside, the bungalow was well-equipped for entertainment with board games, books, and ample space for children. The thoughtful provision of barbecue facilities added to the enjoyable experience. Highly recommended for those seeking a peaceful getaway with the added warmth of exceptional hosts.”

“This is just what we needed to rest up and reset. We had such a wonderful time away as a family. The kids did not get bored for even one minute. They were busy from sun up till sun down with canoeing, board games and lawn games. Emma had suggested some places to visit. Our favourite was the little picnic spot on the way to the Highmoor reserve. The kids loved swimming in the river stream. Emma’s place is very well equipped with plenty of pans, pots, cutlery and crockery. A special touch was the packet of rusks left for us on the counter.
The kids will be talking about this holiday for a long time.”

“An amazing getaway, peaceful and beautiful surroundings. Emma was an excellent host. The only negative was that we couldn’t stay for longer. Did a wonderful walk from the Highmoor Nature Reserve, food for the soul. Owl Barn Bungalow was so well equipped, cosy fireside and electric blankets were so welcomed on the chilly evenings. Loved the farm feel, and the geese kept us entertained but were very well-behaved. We’ll be back!”
